Lautzenhiser’s Hallmark

Lautzenhiser’s Stationery opened in 1944 as a print shop in the small farming community of Oxnard, California. Founded by Sara and Leonard “Dutch” Lautzenhiser and continued by Lois and Dal NaDal. Three generations later Nancy NaDal Manzer and husband Rick expanded the company by opening Lautzenhiser’s Hallmark in Ventura in 1996.

Lautzenhiser’s in Oxnard, often referred to as “the last of the real stationery stores”, closed its doors in 2003. Rick relocated the company’s offices to Ventura and operates an online Custom Minute Books & Permanent Record Paper business at www.minutebooks.com.

Lautzenhiser’s Hallmark, set a new standard for what a Hallmark Shop should be. Along with cards and unique gifts, Nancy branched out her services to include custom invitations and calligraphy and was voted “Ventura County’s Best Stationer” by Ventura County Star Newspaper for more than 15 consecutive years.

Although Lautzenhiser’s Hallmark closed in February 2014, Lautzenhiser’s Stationery lives on. Rick with his Minute Book business and Nancy in a Studio offering Custom Invitations, Fine Stationery, Calligraphy & Printing… the part of the business she loves most.
